I took care to perfectly align the base-plate edges co-planer to the saw-blade and the blade is perfectly parallel to my home-made fence. ( Basically a heavy-duty T-square ) I only do 90-degree cuts with this monster, but with a 12″ Forrest woodworker-II blade, it cuts as cleanly as any cabinet saw I have ever used. Large Lap-joints, rabbets and dados are accurate, fast and easy.
